I started making jewelry and hand knits for myself in my 20s when I couldn't afford to buy all the beautiful things I loved and quickly learned that I loved making things as much as I loved having them.
At Gild The Lilies, I offer hand crafted wearable art at prices everyone can afford. My jewelry is all hand crafted by me of semiprecious gemstones, art glass, and sterling silver. I also sell hand knit accessories made of only natural fibers and knit in my original designs. I have recently expanded to include accessories that have been hand dyed by me using low immersion, direct application, and Japanese Shibori techniques as well as a small line of all natural small-batch body products.
With the exception of a few limited edition pieces, almost all of my items are designed and priced to be extremely affordable. The point is that a work-at-home mom, new grad in their first real job, or a college student will still be able to afford a beautiful piece of wearable art - a little bit of luxury.
My entire focus is providing quality products coupled with exceptional customer service, with an eye to building lasting relationships with each and every customer. All of the items I sell are packaged in 60%-100% post-consumer recycled boxes and bags and shipped in similar packaging to help minimize our impact on the environment.
Art you can wear...luxury you can afford. What's more glamourous than that?!
