As a husband and wife team (Mike and Karen), we develop products that solve our needs, and make life easier and more fun. Our latest product, Ring Wrapper, has been on the market for about a year. Ring Wrapper originated from a frightening experience in which Karen’s sparkly new engagement ring slipped off her hand, and down a grate in NYC. Fortunately, the ring was retrieved, and that night, Mike invented Ring Wrapper. Ring Wrapper is a silicone band that you wear over your finger to protect your ring from getting scratched and from falling off.
Ring Wrapper has been sold to individuals and businesses worldwide, and was recently featured on The Knot Blog. It gets proudly worn by its users while doing some of the most extreme activities imaginable - a few of which include white water rafting, paragliding in the French Alps, and rock climbing - and it provides peace of mind for mechanics, chefs, nurses, emergency crews, artists, gardeners, and factory workers.
Our passion for our business arises from our strong desire to work for ourselves and with each other. This award would strengthen our confidence in our decision to start and grow our business, which is priceless.
