Contestant's Case to Win
This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business or chances of winning.Just because Brian didn't reinvent the wheel (yet) doesn't mean he isn't innovative. He was just 18 years old when his college professor told him that he would "never make it as a business owner". Felt pushed over the edge by this, he soon found himself putting college on hold to pusure entrepreneurship full time.
After being denied funding for his accessories brand by friends, family, banks and lenders he decided to take things into his own hands. Flipping burgers and cleaning windows by day at a local fast food restaurant, he began building his business by night.
Refusing to take no for an answer (and after 8 months of non-stop emails and phone calls) Brian eventually landed a contract with Karmaloop, the largest online streetwear retailer in the world.
It wasn't long before Brian took his handmade bracelets, added a slight creative twist (you can buy a bracelet anywhere, but how about a Lizard Man?) and transformed his no name brand into an international phenenomom - shipping orders all over the world each week!
