A CoverTot is the solution to the blanket draped across a stroller.
Everywhere I go I see mothers with strollers and blankets draped across the front. Although the practice was for various reasons it was problematic. The blankets would continuously fall or get blown off. I too, lost several blankets. One day, I said...there had to be a better way.
My idea for CoverTots was in my head, but I wanted to make it a reality. Having never sewn before, I attempted it and after several prototypes, succeeded at teaching myself to sew and created the first working sample. Mothers would see me with my creation across my stroller and asked where I got it( the CoverTot). I replied, "I made it". Next, I was sewing and selling them to moms. I decided to have them professionally manufactured in the USA and launch my business.
The COVERTOT is a great functional and stylish accessory. It stays on your stroller with velcro straps at the top and matching velcro tabs on the sides. It also has unique mesh side panels for air circulation, and comes in various cuddly minky prints for boys and girls.
It is great for "napping on the go" keeping baby on a regular sleep schedule, walks, jogging, and theme parks. Also helps shade your baby/toddler from the sun.
I would love to win the 2012 Start Up Nation Home Based Busines Contest,it would be such an honor and GREAT opportunity. The publicity would be priceless!! It would open up doors to allow me to get my product "out there" to moms everywhere and make their lives a little easier.
