My idea is based on the current eBook fever that has gripped readers around the world. No one could have predicted the explosive growth in eBook popularity that took place over the past few years. In the very near future, eBooks are poised to surpass paperback novels in total sales. So what does that mean for authors? The internet has opened doors that have never been open before; for publishers, authors, and readers. The most recent trends have been aimed at simplifying the self-publishing process. Why? Well, quite frankly it’s cheaper, faster, and easier for authors. With eBooks on the rise, authors are scrambling to join the eBook push. However, it seems that much complexity still exists in the publishing world, even online. That’s where Novelnook comes in. The world’s first and only free self-publishing eBook store. An eBook store where anyone can publish and pay zero in royalties. Authors get to keep all of their hard earned money. There are no fees on Novelnook, everything is free. Simple, fast, and free.
I am currently employed by the USAF and I am stationed at F.E. Warren AFB. I operate, deploy, and maintain nuclear weapons. My job is extremely time consuming and I work 16 days in the field away from home each month. The day that I am home are usually training days. Some months I see as few as 4 days off. My outlet for my lack of personal time is through my online business that I started from home. Novelnook is the best idea I have ever conceived and I genuinely believe it will be a large success. I started 1 August and have gone from conception to completion in 8 weeks. I have poured all of my extra salary into advertising, web design, and startup costs. I currently have no savings leftover and I am attempting to find resources to help me continue to grow and expand my idea. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to be considered as a winner in 2012. The money won would greatly benefit my current financial state and enable me to take my idea to the next level!
