Our national economy has not been user friendly to General/Business Aviation not to mention the bashing of Business Jet ownership and operations by corporations has proven to be insult to injury to say the least!
But as ugly as it has been the last two years, our business has enjoyed a bright ray of sunshine since early last spring.
Sales in both our core brokerage and acquisition services has been very brisk and a great future indicator that we use of which takes a good temperature of our business is our aircraft appraisal business.
Generally speaking, those requesting aircraft appraisals are either buying, selling or financing. This being the case when the appraisal business took off last February we began to become very enthusiastic as to the prospects of forthcoming business.
Sure enough it was a great barometer and the sales phone started ringing off the hook in March of this year and has yet to stop!
The Lord blesses us all in countless ways and we have been very blessed this year so far. I feel like every Customer that we work with ends up being our personal friend and we look forward to keeping in touch with them just to see how they and their families are doing! Its a great feeling to know that our Customers know that they can depend on us for great and attentive service both during and after the sale!
I grew up in business knowing that the path of success depended upon me being able to do things just a little different and a little better then my competitor.
With that in mind, it has always been my goal and passion to see that Oaktree Aviation Services LLC goes the extra mile when it comes to taking great care of our Customers and doing so all the time!
Working out of our large home Office offers us so many benefits but mainly because we typically either go to our Customer or we meet our Customers at our base Airport where our sales aircraft are located. There really isn't a reason to support an outside office platform and we can pass the great savings on to our Customers which I know they really like!
With today's technologies available at a touch of a hand we can receive phone calls when we're out of the office anywhere in the world. We can receive emails from iPhones and iPads and we can accomplish 75% of our aircraft appraisals using the iPad and our support system which is accessible via a cellular internet connection.
Its great because we no longer have those long and frustrating commutes to work everyday not to mention the wear and tear on cars and other equipment.
We really appreciate all the support that Start-up Nation has to offer us on an ongoing basis and we look forward to a prosperous 3rd & 4th quarter of 2011!
