About the Winner
This is based on the number of votes received and does not reflect the quality of the business or chances of winning. One of my fondest memories is when I was a kid. During the summer, my father would make ice cream out on the back porch. I remember him filling up the plastic churn with rock salt and ice, setting it out on the back porch then turning it on. I had no sense of time, I was so impatient and it seemed to take forever. I remember how excited I'd get while waiting for it to finish churning. When it was finally done, it was some of the best tasting ice cream.
I always admired the patience it took to create. Frostbite Gourmet Ice Cream, LLC follows the same philosophy of dedication and patience. We use old-fashioned, wooden ice cream churns, ice and salt to make all of our ice cream. On average, our ice cream takes about two days to make each batch. We use local ingredients whenever possible, honey from farms in Missouri and the surrounding states as well as lactose free milk. We could make our ice cream in a more conventional way, but then you wouldn't get the attention to detail, unique flavors, texture and taste exclusive to our gourmet ice creams.
