Larry Murphy, born in 1960, retired from the grind as a technology executive to start Murphy Outdoors. As a boomer back in business, he now provides professional fishing guide services on Smithville Lake, Truman Lake, Pomme de Terre Lake, and the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Murphy specializes in bass fishing, but also guides for musky, crappie, and white bass. Murphy Outdoors also provides instructional fly fishing trips for trout at Bennet Springs in south-central Missouri.
