The sunburns earned as a competitive swimmer in childhood, and later getting the great tan during college, led Allie Hennesy to the nightmare of skin cancer as an adult mother of three. The cancer was treated successfully and Allie went to work to come up with protective swimwear to inhibit the damage caused by over exposure to sunlight. The resulting line of swimwear is 50+ UPF (which gives 98%+ protection from UVA and UVB rays).
