Pamela Smith started Ocean Summit Travel from her home in Louisville, Colo., in July 2002. After successfully marketing her own beachfront condo in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, for rental, others starting approaching her to help them rent theirs. And off she went. Smith expanded on the idea by marketing the vacation rentals of other vacation homeowners in Colorado ski resort areas. Now Ocean Summit Travel handles the Caribbean, South Carolina, Mexico beach resorts, and most of the North America ski resort areas as well.
