Anybody else get writers block during an introduction post?  Ha, well anyways... without further ado:

My name is Ryan, and I am a 23 year old from the Bay Area.  I have one more semester of training left before I can become a Municipal Firefighter.  In my opinion, firefighting will assist me tremendously in regards to starting a successful business, for two reasons.  One, it will provide me with enough seed money to bootstrap an internet start up.  Secondly, it`s one of the few jobs that will provide me with enough free time to focus on the business.  I`ll be working roughly 10 days a month.

Now onto the start up:
My team and I are working on an internet service provider.  Our site will hold no inventory.  It will be automated and very hands off.  In other words, the idea is to build the system and let it run itself. If we can successfully apply it here in the United States, it will not take much to expand into foreign markets.  We`re able to bootstrap it because the overhead is so low.  You`ve got to love the internet! 

Right now we are focused on creating the website layout, and continually improving the business plan.  Our website will begin development in early March, which means we have until then to map out the design and perfect the business plan.  I am very excited about this.  Even if it is not as successful as I imagine it to be, it will be a tremendous learning experience that will no doubt springboard me to bigger and better opportunities. 

I eagerly look forward to learning from all of the bright minds and successful people who hang around here.  No doubt you guys will help me out in the upcoming few months. 

I`ll probably be asking you guys some questions specific to the development of my start up, so I thank you all in advance for that!

A few tips - this forum is very helpful and supportive... so don`t hesitate to ask questions, ask for critique.. or just moral support (I`ve been getting a lot of these)

You have a special forum section for website critique, should you need it. and a whole bunch of other sections for your convenience.
