When you take a good look at yourself in the mirror, what attitude
do you see? Are you a "Yes I Can" man or the "Abominable No
Man"?
You can easily answer these questions by looking at what you
focus on. Are your thoughts easily hijacked by the negativity you
hear on the TV news? When you get together with friends and
coworkers, does a declining economy, bad health, and family
troubles dominate your conversations? Are you allowing the
negativity that monopolizes this world to develop a negative
attitude in you?
If this is the case, then your negative attitude will become an
anchor that will slow you down or stop you from reaching your
goals.
The world is divided between two types of people: Those
who—regardless of their circumstances—always make the
best of the situations and always come out on top. These are
"Yes I Can" individuals. Then there are those who allow adversity
to knock them down and keep them down.
If you are afflicted by the abominable bad attitude, how do you get
rid of it? It`s not that hard.
Begin by putting a guard on what you allow to get in your mind. If
you fill your head with negativity, then that is what will come out of
your mouth. When you watch television, read the newspaper, and
talk with people, you will have to put a filter on what you see, read,
and hear. By determining to constantly look for the positive in every
situation, you will begin to reprogram a negative attitude.
Next, watch the words that come out of your mouth. Think before you
speak, and don`t allow yourself to speak negatively. For example,
instead of saying, "I knew it wouldn`t work," say "It will work because
I`ll stay with it until I make this a success."
You can allow the circumstances of life to either make you or break
you. Your attitude is the determining factor. Instead of allowing adversity
to cause you to trip, become a "Yes I Can" person and use that situation
to step into a bright future!
Won`t Be Denied!
