It's like going fishing, tossing the line in one time, using a particular bait, then when you don't catch a fish, saying, "well, there aren't any fish in this lake!" Then going someplace else. :-)

I totally agree about the spam marketing, which is why I specifically mention "contributing to the community as a whole" ... for example, not posting and running as Craig says, but sticking around and joining in. Yes, it's hard work, and yes, some people aren't up to the task - but those who are will reap the rewards for their efforts!
