I don't think God can "make you a success" by you just praying. He gave me my mind, my creativity etc. and I thank Him for that. But by no means is God a one way ticket to entrepreneurial success, but without Him, I wouldn't be anywhere.
You just contradicted yourself. When you pray? don't you ask for him to help you and guide you, to make the right decisions?
If you are creative; you owe it to him, if he gave you a mind for you to think individually; you owe it to him,

I myself am an atheist and prayer is not part of my life or business. My strength comes purely from myself and the people who support me.
I will say this. I recently read Titan, an excellent (and thick) biography about J.D. Rockefeller. He was a very religious man and was greatly guided by his beliefs. Though I don't quite relate, I gained a certain respect for how faith can influence success.

Actually, God promises neither wealth nor health and certainly not well being. But He does promise to love us and riches in Christ Jesus are for those who belong to Him. Karen Del’Marmol, VA

This poll caught my attention. It's especially important to know God is your Guide when things aren't going well/ You definitely need Him on your side when the "dream stealers" and "dream killers" tell you to think what you're trying to do won't work and wait for you to fail. They'll always be around. You have your faith in God and what He directed you to do to keep you going.

I couldn't have made it to where I'm today without the help of God. I seek God's guidance constantly in everything I do and I Thank HIM for what he's done for me.
Aither said it well "I couldn't be in business, or do anything else, without God.He is my partner."

I couldn't function without God either. His wisdom is infinite and for Him to allow me to tap into a piece of shows me his Grace.
He is my partner too....I just couldn't function without Him

"ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" Matthew 7:7,8
As you said and as it is implied above, faith without works is dead. Prayer alone doesn't work, but if you pray and then "seek" for what you are praying for and then actually apply action to your prayers you can't help but succeed.
I know it takes the verse out of context slightly, but the above verse can easily be the entrepreneur's guide to divine assistance. Pray for guidance, but then actually look for guidance, then go as far as to take any guidance that you find and run with it. Too often in business and personal we pray for help but anything short of a burning bush and we dismiss it and when we do get subtle help, we don't act on it and then because we didn't act on it, we feel that there was no divine intervention.
In answer to the question, I don't go one day without asking for guidance and direction.

nation
gone under". ~Ronald Reagan

if by prayer you mean personally addressing an imaginary, really old dude sitting in a golden chair in the sky — then no, prayer does not exist anywhere in my life.
if you mean incorporating (very) hard-learned spiritual lessons, and relating to my work and business goals as a spiritual practice, then yes absolutely. All the things my entrepreneurial efforts require of me are exactly the same as would be required of me to advance in any faith system; and that's how I relate to it on a moment-to-moment basis. Personally, I can't separate anything I do as being spiritual or unspiritual. It's all spiritual at the end of the day.
