I will be finishing school in a couple of months to become an esthetician. I wanted to hear from other aspiring estheticians as well as the ones who have been in this business for a while, whether it is best to work in a spa first before starting up my own business? and how do you build up your clients.

Also once you have finished school how easy or hard is it to find a job.

I am not personally in your field, but have a few friends that are currently in it or have done it in the past. I would say, if you are just getting started, you might try working for someone else to get some experience under your belt and this will also get you some connections. If you create a good reputation with the clients you get at the spa, then it may be those clients that will want to continue with you when you go out on your own.

nation
gone under". ~Ronald Reagan

Thank you so much for your responce. I totally agree with you. My next step now will be to look for a job, and get started with my new venture. Thanks again.

A new, free resource for developing sales lead lists is Manta.com.  If you are looking for contact & descriptive information for companies & businesses in the U.S., you can start at the U.S.-specific company browse.  To find non-U.S. companies, use the advanced company search.

Manta covers 14.5 million U.S. companies (basically all of them) & about 25 million non-U.S.  Again, most information is available free-of-charge.  This is pretty key-- all other lead list & research sites charge for this type of information.

Manta users can also contribute new, unique information to each profile, if they choose to do so.

Hope this is helpful!

After having found a suitable marketing list, you need to manage it.

To find the right CRM or sales lead tracking software for you, have a look at www.smallbizcrm.com.

Keen to hear comments on what CRM works for you. Do you have one that manages leads from your website or email, and keeps all this information together in a central database for easy follow-ups, etc?

Thanks,
Perry
