Very interesing.
My partner created our logo, and I've wanted to change it, but we just haven't. But the, point is, our Name, is our brand. A better logo might have been great, but, we have definately established our brand, by our name. And our name. is easy, to understand, what our product is.

It's never too late to change or update a logo or brand. Things change in business - constantly, right? Businesses grow from something very small as a startup to something more established. A brand becomes established and people become to know it. But that doesn't mean one has to stick with what they started with when building the company from scratch.
The U.S. Postal Service changed their logo many years back. Talk about an established brand and an iconic logo, that stylized eagle. But they went ahead and altered their brand as they began to reestablish the perception of their company in an email world. Bold move if you ask me.
My point is that your brand should evolve with your business. People think logos, taglines, color palettes or packaging are set in stone from the outset. But especially as a young company, I think one has the chance to experiment and refine the brand and who they are.

Hi Steve,
I agree. Logos and labels can, and should change sometimes. But like our
logo or not, I feel our customers identify our product with our Name, and
the quality of our product, which is, "Our Brand". They also appreciate the
quality of our packaging, in a vacuum sealed, ziplock bag for freshness.
These are the ways we stand out. Changing our logo would require
changing forty labels! So.....maybe someday. :)

A thought on company names...the right name can motivate you as the owner to do better.
Initially the name of our company was something totally different. It was catchy but just sat there. One day I said I have a new name for the company, Chit Chat and Chew! And the most amazing thing happened. When the name was right the motivation to bring it to pass went through the roof! So I can't say enough how important it is to have the right name for you to bring your vision to reality. It really does have to fit both you and the idea. Chit Chat and Chew is a great name! It evokes a brand without even seeing your visuals or knowing what your business is.
