Hello again folks. Sorry for not dropping in recently , but I've had some unique experiences over the past 2 weeks regarding business associates and team members.
Anyhow, after reading this article it started me thinking about my experiences and sales skills that I've developed over the years.
Grassroots marketers network like crazy
I totally agree that in order to be successful, you just can do it half way. Your energy, passion, enthusiasm and excitment that you exhibit to everyone you meet will help propell you to success. Networking is tool that has the potential to pay off big. The next person you talk to just might be that $1,000,000 customer ... or know someone that is.
I'm a firm beleiver that "working a room" is critical to success ... no matter where that room is. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone. Just remember ... starting a conversation is not a sales pitch ... but it can lead to one.
Distribute samples to key influencers
I agree with the Sloan brothers regarding samples. Effective marketing is not utilized by simply handing out samples. Selective marketing to the prospects that you covet with the use of a sample can help to gain access to the decision maker. But a sample won't close a deal. It still requires a strong sales presentation and more importantly requires you to close the deal ... not just present it.
What are your thoughts?
