I'm thinking it might be useful to have a topic anyone can add to, whenever they run across a new scam for making money quick on the Inner Net. With all the people asking how to start a business, what idea they can use, and so forth, they're ripe for being taken.

Interent Speedway
Source (heard about it where?): Radio commercials.
Analysis Article: Guru Busters (http://www.gurubusters.com/index.php)
Author of Analysis: Dani Mendez
Summary:
Internet Speedway is a company that has been doing some aggressive advertising over the radio.  They claim that they will give you a free CD and help you start an online e-commerce business.

Many people have spoken out calling it an Internet Speedway Scam due to the company's deceptive billing practices.  Most folks don't read the fine print which states that after you request the free CD's your trial period starts.  After 30 days your credit card will be billed 5 payments of $59.00, bringing your free Internet Speedway business to a total cost of $300.

Have you heard of Yuwie.com - claims to be a new social network that you get paid for on referrals?

I Just had a reply to a previous post of mine recommending it and wasn't sure what to make of it? Its it legit?

Anyone?

I looked it over, nothing either new or different there. Just another great AdSense revenue generator for someone, and a really neat way for you to get spammed all the more. Use a throw-away email addy for this, just like all the other spam generators you join.

Other than that, it look on the up and up - so far.

Hello!!

Before making a new post I'd thought I'd come here to see what this community is saying about YUWIE.  I didn't find much.  I did find you guys though.

Here's what I have to say about YUWIE:

I joined YUWIE  a week ago.  It took me some time to join because I didn't want to belong to one more thing that I didn't have time to devote to.

I happened to run across someone who is making money on YUWIE on my birthday and wanted to try something new.  I was happy about it.

Then the punches started rolling in!!  I spent a little bit of time on YUWIE pokin around at people's profiles.  Then I started bumping into people really making some money from a social networking company.

Anyone who signs up I'll lead you to the high rollers.  They are great people to be friends with too!!

Some Thoughts to Ponder

-- MySpace gets over 20 million dollars a month for their over 260 some MILLION members to be active

-- MySpace DOESN'T give a dime to folks to go on there and post a blog, picture, comment, update your file, whatever there is to do on a social networking site.

-- What could hurt?  Even if you joined, got active, built your business;   what did you lose?  More FREE advertising for your business?  A little bit of time?  The ability to get paid to advertise your business?  (when did you last hear of that?--someone PAYING you to advertise your business?)

How does that hurt anyone?

Is it a scam?  Well true, you have to find out for yourself.  You can go ahead and sit back and watch me as the months roll by as I'll come back and show my YUWIE growth and earnings.  Then you can decide when is the right time for you to be coming in.

I'd like to advertise for you.

Anyone who uses this sign up I would like to help you get your name and your business out there.  Just go ahead and give it a try.  Like retired says, use a dummy email if you'd like (although I've never had issues with YUWIE), spend a little time on it if you'd like.

Do you have a video about your product?  A website?  What are you using right now to promote your product?  Sign up here and I'll put your video or website or logo or whatever it is that you have on my YUWIE as an EXTRA measure to market your product/service.

-- See you on the net!!

Just curious, but did anyone ever discover if this was legit or not? This Yuwie business?
