I think there are a lot of things you can do for a fantastic tradeshow, but maybe the best is to be memorable. Tradeshows are usually large and people are pitched out by their second aisle. What has worked best for me when I have had a table or walked the room is to be curious, ask a lot of questions and truly listen to what people tell you.
Attendees are so busy being talked too most that time that you are rare and memorable if you are the one to listen and learn more about them. I have found often times when you listen and ask great questions often the people end up selling thmesleves by giving you the information you need to help them.
I ditto what was said above about confidence and high energy... and a basic thing if you have your own table is always have a way to collect contacts whether it is a giveaway or a sign up, to pay the price of a tradeshow you want to leave with prospects and contacts you can follow up with.
oh and have fun... that shows too!
