folks, i'm working on a comic strip that will initially live at StartupNation. don't you think it's time we were provided a comic strip about being an entrepreneur? dilbert just doesn't apply!

the primary setting for this cartoon strip will be a home-based business, where the woman/wife/mother of the house is the entrepreneur.

do any of you have funny, odd, slightly wry, extremely hilarious "situations" you know of or have experienced that we might be able to integrate into the comic strip in the future?

let's have some fuuuuuuuuunnnnnn!!!!!!

standing by,

rich

HA!  Just come to my house for a day and you'll find plenty of material - LOL!

I am a "phone mime".  I can gesture my "POINT" to an interrrupting child while keeping a completely "business" attitude in my voice... at least I THINK I can!

Very funny Kim.

Rich, can we do one where the entreprenuer is on the phone with a client, the UPS guy comes and the Labrador (read assistant) is FREAKING out on the sofa near the front window...and the entreprenuer has to explain what the noise is in the background, but YES their account oh so important.

Or the one about how the husband comes home from the "real" job and tells you 45 minutes about his day, and the entreprenure gets about 5 minutes of air time?

Great idea...yay

How about the Entrepreneur has the small children trained to start plucking on extra keyboards whenever the phone rings to make it sound like you are bigger than you really are. No joke! My 2 year old son does this everytime our phone rings during the day. It is hillarious! Best Wishes! Ken Schroeder,President

Rich,

I'm not sure what your intention with the comic strip is, but again different ideas started flowing.

I figure you would have the opportunity to brand a comic strip charator. so when ever people see(on website, viral marketing program [ouch I like that one alot]) or hear its voice (on radio show) they would think about Startup Nation.  Maybe eventually syndicate to newpapers, with enough imagination (and a big enough following) maybe TV one way or another.

Im not saying to do it for any or all of those reasons, Im just saying if your going to make the effort, why not keep your options open for potential future benefits.

Yup thats  me  everything is always  business.

Ken,

That is sooo funny.  At least you have a human being home with you...I've been known to read copy to the dog....and sometimes even expecting a response!

Yesterday, while on a phone conference, I was actually unpacking groceries, cleaning the kitchen and feeding the dog at the same time.
