Steve, that is one of my keys to what I call BarterWealth which will what my new ebook will discuss. Art work and jewelry are great barter items for CASH! Also I like the complex barters that can really get interesting and lucrative!

I like the hat....very nice but that was a big $$$ barter!

Wow! I do barter and believe in this system but I try to barter an equal amount. I then don't feel like neither one of us is losing anything. We are trading.

I belief we all need to turn back to this time. History and history should repeat itself in this area.....it will but I'm getting prepared now for that time.

It does advertise for you, builds trust and gets you known in a positive way.

Let's see,

I've traded for the following (as far as I can remember):
Office rent for 18 months, Auto repairs, Hotel rooms in Hawaii, Dental work, some office supplies.

Most were through a barter club, but the office space was a direct trade for computer equipment, services.

I just started my Dance Dance Revolution Rental entertainment business and wanted booth space in our local town's Business Expo. I couldn't afford to pay the $375 they wanted, so we're bartering the space, for doing what we normally charge for.... entertaining the kids! So I'll get my teenaged daughter to run the station while I sell to the parents. Win- Win!! Cindy, the DDR Lady.

We barter for expo space on a regular basis. The key for us has been to realize what the cost of the space is to the vendor so we know what to include from our standpoint.  Sometimes $1,000 space doesn't equate to $1,000 production time or ad time on our show.

It hasn't happened to us but I am curious if you are bartering for a service and you feel that you did not get the quality you were looking for how do you handle this?  Sometimes I feel like, hey I got it for free so I don't want to make a stink (I know it wasn't really free.)

Thanks,
Judson
