Yes, I have had well over 20 years of Barter experience leading me to be called the Barter King of Atlanta when I resided there. I have bartered both a Mercedes and a Cadillac in the past. I have a new ebook coming out in March 2007 that shows anyone how to barter for a car, home and office without paying one cent!

Well, not in any huge quantity, but, we get asked all the time, "Do you want to trade?" We have traded for. . .hmmmm, let me see if I can remember some.

A leather purse, a leather wallet for my husband, clothes, jerky, salsa, jewelry (get asked this a lot by the jewelry people, they must be BIG dip eaters! LOL), yard ornaments, candles, wooden items, cleaning supplies, honey, baked goods, christmas ornaments, dog and cat treats and the best is when someone says, can I work for a few hours and just get paid in dips?

I barter quite a bit, but on a lot smaller basis than Hugh!  I've traded for other excess soap supplies for my logo, other soap supplies that I didn't need for soap supplies I do need, soap & my other products for advertising, graphic design, store credit from a soapmaking supplier,  food items from the farmer's market I sell at, other indie designers items which has led to several loyal customer's.  There have been a few times when I didn't really need or want the items I bartered for, but did it anyway and frequently these were the ones that turned into loyal cash paying customers. My products tend to need people to try them (or smell them)-especially when selling from my web site, so I tend to think of bartering as free advertising.

My Dad is a painting contractor and has frequently bartered for things like furniture, haircuts for a year, a new driveway, electrician work, etc.
