You would be amazed at what the Federal Government Buys.  Try going to Fedbizops.com and do a search and see what comes up. If you want more information about getting into the business see the articles at my site.

I sell Navy Signal Flag Banners. Currently I am selling them on eBay and they are usually selling within a day on there with the 'Buy it Now' feature.

One customer that bought one was with the Navy and was a sailor. He said that he was going to tell his friends.

I never thought about selling them in Commissaries. I wonder if it would be difficult to do. At this point I am making them all myself but do have a place lined up that would help.

Thanks for posting this link.

Kathy,

What I think your looking for and would serve you better is the Navy Exchange (NEX). That would market your item to the right customer. Follow the below link and look around. You might be able to find the right department.

https://www.navy-nex.com/command/contractor_vendor/cv-merch. html

I'm not saying that AAFES would not be interested in your product, but AAFES is "Army-Air Force", while the Navy has a seperate store all together. Also, the commissary typically deals in foods vs commodities.

Also, another good avenue would be to find your local Navy base and introduce your product to them at the NEX. If it becomes a hit, then they can point you in the right direction to getting it globally. All these stores put things on the web, stores, and in a catelog. Therefore, it will be seen by many people.

I hope this helps and Good Luck!

Merry Christmas!

Rajin,

Thanks for posting that link. After I posted the above comments I thought that this would be more geared towards the Navy. I can see where they would be totally different.  I really like your idea's and will check out what base we are closest too.

Thanks again,

Kathy
I wonder if Nurses Staffing Agency would qualified for that website since it's not really federal thing? http://www.smalltofeds.blogspot.com/
247,

You might be surprised at home many healthcare services the government actually purchases. Your services can and should be marketed towards the government, specifically the military bases. Sign up on http://www.fedbizopps.gov for free notices of requirements. I know I've purchased many healthcare services and the government is always looking to outsource. Good Luck!
