Local marketing is a good way to begin in building a client base and letting your community know about you and your business. For the sole proprietor, it is a very good strategy to go it locally, instead of trying to go national or global (unless you have the financial means to do so, and your product/service can only be presented via the TV/Radio advertisement method). We make candle holders and other wood products... Would it be a good idea to promote our candle holders with a theme of Light a candle for a loved one that has passed.?
