Melanie,
I think we can always network more, and get more information. We always need to learn more, to grow. But, at this time in my life... 'school for me'. will be found in books and the computer. I know the value of hiring a marketing and/or PR firm. But if you haven't yet, it seems the times now, make it even more difficult for a small business to know how long it would take to get that investment back when hiring a firm to do what's needed, to move your company along. Do you have thoughts or suggestions about that?
I think we can all benifit from learning. Learning from each other benefits us all in a tough economy with such negative news.
We all need to work on how to change things, don't we?

Hi Janie,
Thanks for your input, and I agree. Whenever you spend money on products and services for your business, I think it's important to review your budget and how those products and services will bring you the desired results and help you reach your overall goals.
Sometimes it's worth the effort to do your own PR and marketing. But if you just don't have the time, or the appropriate skills (writing, SEO, phone communications, etc.), it may be better to conduct some extensive research and find the right people/services to help.
In the long run, outside assistance can save you a lot of time, money, and hassle and present your business in the most professional light possible while boosting sales fast.

Work smarter. Maybe there isn't as much money to go around. We look through some older contacts and have been doing things to make us feel extra busy. This helps keep the spirits high and the people coming in. Brandon

Melanie,
I agree with you, outside assistance can be very beneficial. Finding those that you can trust, and that will truly benifit your business with their experience and knowledge, is what is important. I think businesses can experience incredible growth with working with someone that knows what they're doing. No matter what the bad economy news is, smart marketing and the right pr can bring you to a different level.
I'll keep in touch Melanie. :)
