I will be using my website as my main marketing tool.

I am hitting the streets and going business to business to see if they can you use my services and use the services my clients have - especially my 1800getleads.com client.

If anyone could, give it a read through and let me know your thoughts on it - does it make sense what I am doing? Does it read correctly?

Thanks!

Here is what you want to do.

Go to Google.  Type in the exact keyword/niche you are trying to get into.  Look at the top companies in the generic search to see what they are offering.  Then go ahead and see what the top companies are doing in the paid search.

What are they offering?

Now, ask yourself "What can I do differnt?"  Is there something that they are missing or not offering?

Personally, I would redesgin the homepage and offer a free report "How Collabaration Will Take Your Business To The Next Level In this Economy!"  or "The Hottest Business Trend in this Economy!"  This is just off the top of my head.

Right now, you are just getting someone to read a full page.  So basically you are giving them one shot to like it not.  Now, lets say you offer the free report and you request they optin to receive it.  Now your marketing possiblities go up.

Just from the home page, what do you want the business or person to do?

Thanks for your feedback..

If i could i would redesign the page, but due to my lack of CSS know how, I can't at this time. I just took a CSS template and fooled around with it and made it my own.

No one else, as far as i have seen, is doing what i am doing...  a joint venture business directory.

I agree with the above post. Create a lead capture page, offer a free report, build your list and then let your autoresponder do the rest of the selling for you.

Do some keyword research on your niche using google adwords keword tool. Find keywords that has low competition and write a few articles around those keywords. At the bottom of your articles say something like free report for xyz go to yoursite.com then submit those articles to ezinearticles.com

That should get u going.

Cheers

If you are not familiar with programming and HTML forms you may want to get a contact manager. Many of them have lead capture tools that you can put on your website. When the person goes to your site and fills out the form the information will automatically be inserted into your CRM or contact management system for you to view.

I use Logicbright crm to do this, it is basically a simpler version of Salesforce.

You can use a product like constant contact, aweber or one of the other email marketing programs to create a lead capture page and then market back to the leads via email.  Some other thoughts though - don't discount social media as an avenue to market given your business.  Here's an article on recent success HP has had using blog pr and advertising.

Also, I would invite you to check out sbimonline for some additional marketing ideas.

In terms of your website, using a program like Drupal or Joomla (both free) you can create a really nice looking website without any programming language.
