Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about sponsorships? How do I get sponsorships from big companies? How much should I charge for the sponsors on my webpage?
Do I just call up Sony and say "I want you to sponsor me"? Or do I write out a document stating what I am planning?
Please guys where can I get more information about this? Where would I start??
thx again guys

Depends on what you are trying to sell as your sponsorship to your identified targeted audience as to to price point and delivery mechanism. Tell us more.

You will need to tell them what your planning. You have to interest them, in some way. It probably won't work well ...just, calling up Sony. Unfortunately, I have heard recently even big sponsors aren't doing much right now due to the economy.
Yes, tell us more and about your plan.

Large ticket items such as large sponsorship dollars are harder and harder to get. You have to show what kind of estimated return you anticipate. Good sponsorships work over a long period of time. And in your proposal a necessary ingredient is stating how you are going to drive business to your sponsor. The Promotions Department, Inc.

Sponsorships for your site will depend on, amongst other things, the audience, # of unique visitors, # of pageviews, CPM rates for your industry, etc.
You can also contact an Ad network and see if they have sponsors on their lists already for you...
