Hi
I have a relatively large website that only requires $500-1k to actually get it to do something useful. Just to hire a professional programmer.
How can I get this kind of money?
I have no idea, I've looked around google a bit and found some wierd websites that want $100 for signup.
Basically, is there any way to borrow money from someone(like peer to peer lending), and give a return only if it works out?

$1k isn't much at all, my first reaction is to side with Craig.
If that's what your programmer wants you to pay him, offer him the first $2.5k of your revenue, but nothing up front.

Good idea EngineersCanSell. I remember I read your website. Well, I can read it again some time. Go Green and save money at the same time with no more roof replacement with SolaRoof International

It is also a great idea to offer the programmer twice his/her normal fee once you have revenue...
Also checkout www.eLance.com - what you think costs $500 - $1k; you can most likely get done for at least half of that by going thru elance.com....
Hope this helps and good luck!

Elance is good. guru.com is pretty decent too, and so is rentacoder.com, so I've heard.
