Kathy, thank you for the wonderful comments. I struggled writing... then memorizing my elevator pitch. To keep it memorized, I rehearse it for a few minutes every other day. It reminds me of those inspirational speakers that tell you to look in the mirror each morning and say to yourself, “I am great at my job. I am ready for this day. I will accomplish _______ goal.” I think my wife thinks I am crazy.
…Then again, she is teaching herself Chinese and mimics the words presented on some Internet site. She had her first test the other day at her day job. A Chinese man saw her writing Chinese and they were able to speak to each other in that language. Simple conversations of course, but heck… She passed. He understood her. She was very excited. So you should be in our house. I am reciting the elevator speech, and she recites Chinese. It’s crazy.
Thanks to everyone voting for me! I will do my best NOT to let you down. Vincent Wilcox (a.k.a. KRAKR)

We were driving home from the bakery Saturday evening when
StartupNation came on WJR Detroit. When Rich announced the first
elevator pitcher would be iouone2, I said to my wife, "that's Vincent!"
as if he were someone I knew from my day job. I told her a little about
Vincent's business during the commercial.
One of the things I love about the SUN community is that you can get to
know people across the country that you've never even met in person.
Learn about their hopes and dreams, their fears, their ups and downs,
their good days and bad. Actually care about them, their family and
what happens in their lives.
After a few minutes and a couple more pitches, my wife asked "do you
think the spin meister will do a pitch?" I laughed so hard I could
hardly drive. I answered "that's theSwaynester, and I don't know if
he'll do a pitch." Then I told her, "I think he'd get a kick out of the
new name you gave him."
Good luck to all the elevator pitchers.

What a coincidence, Steve-o, my wife refers to me as the spin meister, too. Usually, in reference to my excuses for getting out of household chores.

What a great show this week and listening to the pitches again today I have gotten so many good ideas to nail my pitch and bring it down to about 1 minute without sounding like the legal guy at the end of a TV/Radio ad. Good Luck to you all! ps. haamoniismooth? I will try a sample of that drink also. LOL

Thanks Rich, Jeff and all the behind the scenes SUNies for inviting me to participate in this little contest of yours.
Good luck to my fellow pitchers as well....we all have some exciting stuff we're putting out on the airwaves!! It will be fun to see how it all plays out!

remember, everyone!
your votes will determine the TOP THREE elevator pitches. we will then bring those three winning entrepreneurs back on the air to compete in one final pitch-off!
so every vote counts, even if you're not voting for the front-runner.
onward!
