Hello Leslie and Colleen,
Thank you both for your kind words.
Leslie you ask what do I need and I think what I need most right now is a way to develop and promote simple but revolutionary ideas which once revealed, everyone will say "oh wow, of course, it's so obvious", without getting ripped off because the idea is so simple and obvious.
For example, whoever took Carob, and developed it into a chocolate tasting food/treat which will work in any and every situation that chocolate would and taste essentially the same.
How did that person tell anyone about the idea without it getting stolen?
Once he/she developed it and people started tasting it, everyone must have said it was such a no brainer.
Well I have a few such simple ideas.
I have some for food, and at least one for shoes and feet.
All I have to do is say what it is and I guarantee so many people will just say "oh yeah" and whoever has the funds or friends with funds can easily develop them without paying me a cent unless I can solidly protect those ideas, somehow.

If someone developed a new firm that was owned by the people and assisted in the development, financing, production, distribution and marketing of every viable product idea submitted, how much participation do you think that person would realize from those who have these needs?

Mailing and notarizing holds absolutely no weight, so I wouldn't bother. Go out and do a search for a good Non-Disclosure Agreement that fits your terms, you can find one on the web. A big company may not agree to sign it, if they don't it is a judgment call on whether or not you want to pursue with them if they do not agree.
In my opinion, if someone wants to steal your idea and they have much $ to do so, they will and the typical infringement case will run anywhere from a 150K to 300K to prosecute. I did they notarizing, mailing to my self, non-disclosure, patent and my competitors still knocked off my product with a few changes. So, your never completely safe, but competition is good as long as you are the first to market.
Good luck, if I can help at all just let me know!
Thanks....
