Now that's funny!  Seriously though. It's funny how we all have our own lttle quirks. Some people need to get dressed to be more productive. I'm not one of those people. I'm productive, regardless of what I'm wearing.

One last thing. Steve, this is for you.... Dale in his underwear....Dale in his underwear...Dale in his underwear...

I'm in pjs right now. Heck, since my husband is home recovering from knee surgery, we'll all in our pjs most of the day.

The problem with "getting dressed" is that, well, jeans really isn't getting dressed, and the thing is that the restrictive clothing would distract me. I'm better off when I'm comfortable. My husband finds it hilarious to no end that I take a shower during the day and either put new pjs on or put on sweats. He'll say something like "ready to go into the office now?"

(And if anyone has ever wanted to test a marriage, take care of your spouse for a few weeks when he's bored but bedridden after surgery!!!! Speaking of distractions, he was bouncing a ball off the wall and I thought I was going to have to shove it up his nose.)

The real issue is where I sit. If I lean too far back on the couch, I start slacking ... so I move to somewhere where I'm sitting more upright, like the kiddie table or my desk.

I get up and get dressed, so my husband doesn't have to see me in the same thing he saw me in when he left the house (pj's). For me Friday is dress down day, and I may keep the pj's on longer than usual.  I don't really see anyone, but the UPS/USPS persons---and I think they've accepted my long gown peaking out from under a sweatshirt on Friday's.

Very interesting thread, I just did a blog post on this subject and it is very interesting to see what other people think. I might have to go back and edit the post!
I get "ready for work" every morning in comfortable clothes that would work for "casual Fridays"  That way if I have an emergency client meeting (it happens) I don't have to stall for time so I can take a shower and find the cleanest clothes in the hamper!
People know I work from home so they aren't expecting me in a business suit.

And Dale, I'm glad you are at least wearing underwear, there was this one guy.....ah never mind!

I write a list before going to bed of all things I have to achieve the following day.  It helps me to stay focused.  The next day I am ready to go.  I love to start the day with family love then going to "work" at home then taking breaks throughout whenever I want.   What do I wear that makes me feel ready to get to work?  Yup the good ole sweats, pjs, lounge wear or at worst jeans.
