I purged out my shoe closet. I really hate old+outdated shoes. Those 17!!! year old leather boots:

went straight into the garbage bag. The straight-leggedness of them look like stovepipes :

17 year old, not worn them for years and alone the germs ....YIKES! NOT vintage, those old boots  were definitely garbage. Do you agree with me?    

I suffer from nostalgia. I hold on to things to remind me of the era. As a matter of fact, my kids had to throw away my most favorite pair of clogs - I was devastated. I guess as some folks say - one mans garbage another mans treasure.

LOL... I`m with you on the "stovepipe" look. I don`t really care for boots with that leg-style. It`s hard for me to let go of shoes (who doesn`t love shoes? I mean come on... they`re SHOES.) but you have to draw the line somewhere :)

Now, if I could only gather the courage to purge some of the oldsters from my coat collection . I keep trying, but then I look at the stuff they`re selling on vintage clothing websites and think "hey, this is gonna come back in style, and when it does, I wana have one!"
