We are MomCheck.com – Where Finding Childcare Just Got Smarter. In a nutshell – we secret shop daycares. We do this from a mom’s perspective and provide the detailed search necessary in order for parents to find this information on our website quickly and easily.
What does that mean? We worked with moms and industry leaders to put together a 15-page report of our secret shop called the MomCheck Report which provides the information that a parent wants to know along with the information they need to know. Our trained MomCheck Agents tour facilities so the mom doesn’t have to. She can get more in 20 minutes from our site than she can in 20 hours on her own, giving her a list of facilities that match her wants and needs. The majority of today's mothers currently work outside the home, and with the current economic crisis, more and more are returning to the workforce everyday. Because of this, there is significant growth potential in all services catering to today’s busy families, especially one that helps them navigate the childcare world such as MomCheck.com. We provide matched childcare choices and we educate on what to look for in a childcare facility. The MomCheck Report has many questions that the first time childcare parent would never consider, but upon hearing it, knows immediately the importance. We launched MomCheck.com online last summer as a free service and we are currently MomChecking the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex by designated areas. We will be introducing a subscription model in the 2nd quarter of this year. We are encouraged that we have already exceeded our initial projections for the free, unadvertised period and are anticipating even better results with our subscription model, as we are introducing advertising and partnerships in the same timeframe. Our current competition is limited as we address a niche market; however, there are 2 primary competitors. Both are national, free services that deliver limited facility information, much like a yellow pages listing. One focuses on the preschool market, but could expand to cover the daycare only market as well. Both are more like advertising for the centers, rather than objective information as one gets their primary content from the facilities themselves and the other allows facilities to pay for search result placement. MomCheck combines what these competitors have to offer, but with better search, complete facility details, continual updates of state licensing data, mom ratings, and, most importantly, the results of our secret shop, the MomCheck Report. MomCheck does not allow a facility to influence search results in any way. Our search results cannot be bought. Additionally, we are local, and although we will expand into other cities, each city will stand on its own, with local management, local content, and local experts. Our revenue model is 4-fold: Subscriptions, advertising, local employer partnerships, and corporate-level custom MomCheck reports. We currently have no debt and are cash-flow positive; we do not need additional funding to execute our business plan, but are seeking growth funding of 2M to expedite our business plan, solidify our turn-key approach and move into at least 5 metropolitan areas within 3 years. We are offering a percentage of the company in exchange for funding. We are 4 co-owners with backgrounds in IT, finance, marketing, and operations. With this funding we will bring additional talent to fill in the gaps of our experience, add technical resources and ramp up are marketing.Thank you for your time. We look forward to meeting again and telling you more about MomCheck.com – Where Finding Childcare Just Got Smarter. www.MomCheck.com
