As a mother of three, the tragedies our students and teachers have faced since Columbine began a mission to find a way to keep our children safe. Schools started requiring students to carry clear bags or no bags so with four of the best people I know in their fields, S1 for Safety First began. Together, we set out to design clear bags that are cool, comfortable and durable.

We began designing our clear bags and backpacks by consulting with Chiropractors to ensure they are ergonomically correct, and worked with manufacturing specialists to find the strongest materials available. S1 Bags are constructed in a 20-gauge 5mil temperature- treated PVC Vinyl, which is the thickest material available that still offers pliability; this guarantees that our bags are they are clearly safer, clearly stronger and clearly more comfortable than any other transparent bags on the market. All S1 bags carry a 3-year warranty.

What began as a way to keep our children safe has expanded into the finest line of clear bags worldwide. S1 has begun working with corporations, sports arenas, airports and other public venues to assist with the security measures they are now implementing as safety has become a daily concern.

We began in 2004 with 4 bags and this spring bags 14, 15 and 16 are coming to market - our Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bags and Backpack which meet all TSA requirements so travelers no longer need to remove their laptops at airport security checkpoints.
