While his college peers were scrambling for a way to cash flow their collegiate life, Brandon Labman was cooking up a hot business concept. He recognized that students are perpetually desperate to find work, and at the same time, businesses love mining college campuses for bright-eyed talent. But there was no satisfying system in place to help the matchmaking take place.
Labman launched ROCS (aka, Responsible Outgoing College Students) during his freshman year. ROCS provides job matchmaking opportunities that relate to each student’s career aspirations and goals, so they can test drive their respective futures.
The takeaways for ROC's student clients go way beyond beer money. Not only do they gain training wheels but also real world business contacts to increase their confidence, network and options for life beyond graduation.
