Greetings, all!
I created a website to scratch a personal itch and am interested in your critique:
https://digitsend.com/product-tour
Here's the problem I'm trying to solve:
I often need to send sensitive information: SSNs, credit card numbers, bank accounts, etc. I've purchased and have worked with a number of secure email products, and they all have the same problem. That is: you need to set the recipient up with some sort of an account, and then you need to tell the recipient what their credentials are. Sending those credentials over email defeats the purpose, so I wind up calling them on the phone and it's just not as quick and easy as I'd like it to be.
Here's the gist of what the website does:
You log in to the website and compose a message to a recipient, and the website prompts you for the recipient's phone number. When the recipient goes to read the message, the website calls their phone and has them key in a code. Once that's done, the recipient can read your message.
It's painless for the sender, (send-and-forget, no account setup, etc.) and provides a good level of security. (Essentially a two-factor, one-time registration process for the receiver.)
Any and all critique / criticism would be very much appreciated -- thank you!
