Hello Fellow Entrepreneurs - I drew my own logo, and wondered about the necessity for having trademark or copyright protection. Any suggestions? How does one go about registering a trademark? It will never be an advertising icon like Nike`s swoosh, but is it a good idea anyway? Thanks in advance for your input.

Carole,

If you don`t want your artwork copied, you can look into copyrighting your art work. Go to http://www.copyright.gov/ - you will find all the information need including a link to the .gov Trademarks & Patents site as well.
