| Description: | I have insatiable curiosity about the world and people. I have been to 6 of the 7 Continents so far. Antarctica in March 07! Running, Pilates and Kayaking are fave hobbies, especially Kayaking in exotic locals like Barbados. I worked for 9 years, 5 promotions for the second largest hospital corporation in the country. I managed the Physician development over several of their Los Angeles based facilities and loved every minute of it. I was mentored by great people!! Two years ago, a new hospital corporation formed and bought one local hospital from the large corporate one that I had worked for. All new challenges..new owners, new government regulations, and smaller start up. It is a real learning experience and I am growing as a professional by leaps and bounds. I am now sought after to advise other health care companies on Physician development in the Los Angeles market. My backround and training is in business development, healthcare marketing, stark, safe harbor and federal guidelines in hospital/physician relations. I am on several committees regarding my position. A fun, challenging time with reimbursement down, lots of uninsured and medical costs rising. |
