I love managing my home business. I would rather be home sending out email blasts or communicating online with customers than taking leisurely strolls in the park or attending a concert. Yep, that`s me, no life just work... but loving it!
RooKaps.com was launched after my own experience in searching for a replacement cap for my trusted flash drive. Coupled with seeing a need and the challenge of having someone tell me it wasn`t a marketable idea really got my juices flowing. I decided to stop thinking what a great idea I had, and to just go for it! No regrets.
I was right, there are lots of folks having trouble keeping up with those little caps.
I'm curious to learn how others are taking advantage of Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26th)?
Is anyone taking advantage of the American Express marketing materials? We have posted the AMEX Small Biz Saturday logo on our site and emailed our customers asking for continued support on that day with a 10% off discount on all products.
But we would love some thoughts on how to promote a little more and piggyback on the SB Saturday Hoopla.
Regarding flyer distribution -- I have had some success with the services offered at http://www.fiverr.com (not a typo).
It is a site where folks will offer their services for only $5.00. I've used the services of college students listed there to distribute flyers on their campus-- including posting them on student bulletin boards. I usually ask for some type of camera pic as proof.
We have a Twitter account. I`m sure there is great benefit to it, but as of yet I am doing a dismal job at tapping into it.
I have gleaned info from a few blogs on how to use Twitter. However, I would really love to find a comprehensive book on using Twitter as a business tool. Is there a book out there?
