I`m the author of Get More Clients Online: How to Get 95% of Your Clients from Internet Marketing (www.getmoreclientsonline.net), and founder of OnlineBizU.com. As an Internet Business Coach and Online Business Manager, I help overwhelmed independent service professionals automate their businesses, leverage their expertise online, and implement Internet marketing strategies that work for service businesses.
I opened my first online business as an online business manager/virtual assistant in 1999 and successfully built this virtual company from my small, rural, East Texas hometown using only connections made online and Internet marketing strategies. From 2000-2004 I trained women to create businesses as Virtual Assistants for a VA training company while also running my own business.
After coaching and training virtual assistants for several years, I made the leap into professional business coaching and unveiled my coaching company in 2003, which has now been transformed into a membership website, Online Biz University.
I`d love to know the process for setting up the RSS feed in Google Reader toonly pull questions containing the term "my service". I love this idea, and this fits perfectly into my marketing style. Am also going to try out your Google Alerts tip, as well.
I`m starting a new online podcast called InspiredPreneurs: Baby Boomers Who Turned Their Passion into Profitable Online Businesses. I`m seeking to interview baby boomer entrepreneurs for this podcast who meet the following criteria:
1. Must have been in business at least 2 years
2. Age 50 or older
3. Can have component of business that is offline (i.e. retail store or shop) but at least 25% of the income must be derived from your online presence/website
4. Your online business may be a pre-retirement business but prefer to speak with those who have either started business after "retirement" or who are continuing to run online businesses they began years ago and plan to run during their "retirement" years
The interview will run approximately 20 minutes and will be conducted sometime between Nov. 1 - Dec. 20, 2008, with release of the podcasts beginning Jan. 1, 2009. These podcasts will be used to relaunch a subscription membership site and will be placed as content on that site as well as be distributed via podcast directories online. The podcasts should serve as great marketing exposure for your business.

Hi Dale--I just cleaned my list when I changed email service providers. Bad news-- I lost 66% of my list.Good news-- of the 33% who opted in to the new list, more of them actually open my ezine now (20% open rate to a 50-60% open rate) than before..LOLOverall, I`d say it was a great experience!Warmly,Donna
If you haven`t yet done so, list your business with local search
engines/guiides so that your company/product/service comes up when
people do a geographic search for what you offer. Most of the basic
lists are free of charge.
Here`s the link to the article with detailed instructions:
And, I`d also encourage you to include some meta tags to make your site
more search engine friendly. Nikole`s suggestion about page titles is a
good place to start. Here`s a meta tag generator that I use for some of
my sites: http://www.invision-graphics.com/meta-tag-generator.html
