My name is Adrian Pang and I would like to share a project I have been working on with you. Working with entrepreneurs in the past, I notice that it's often very expensive (in terms of time and cost) to hire developers build prototypes of web applications -- that's why I built Beta In A Box (http://www.betainabox.com), an easy-to-use prototyping software that builds fully functional web application prototypes, that you can share with your potential users and fine tune your ideas before hiring developers to build the final optimized version.
Using Beta In A Box, you can quickly mock up your application (using an online template, or upload your own) and hook up behaviors such as data management and geolocation to implement behaviors. Once you are done, you can share the application with your potential users, and with tracking tools such as integration with Google Analytics, you can fine tune your application until you find your winning formula.

My idea is basically an online social storytelling platform. We tell stories everyday -- whether it's through a Facebook profile (a story about our lives, what we are up to, etc.), more formally through slidedecks (e.g., in a school) or by selling a service (product demos, YouTube, blogs, etc.), we wanted to connect to those interested in our stories and collaboratively interact and share our experience.
The problem is that currently, most story telling methods are one-direction only. For example, a couple might want to share their wedding day story with the attendees of the wedding -- sharing photos of the event, stories on how they met, etc. Often, this information is scattered everywhere (posted on the couple's facebook pages, uploaded to YouTube, etc.) so it's difficult to get the full experience -- also, the information flow mostly from the couples to the attendee, which makes the stories one-dimensional -- which my product will hopefully change. In this case, the couple will create a story and share the link to the attendees. The attendees can extend the story by contributing their own media files or linking to their own stories (e.g., the wedding planner can create "the making of" stories for those interested, also as a way to promote her business); stories are always "live" as they are constantly updated, linked stories allow viewers to explore new interests.
The key of the product will be the social nature of the applications, allowing stories to be built on stories; To "kick start" the network of stories, the business will operate on a freemium model.
There are some storytelling platform products out there already, but few of them focus on the social aspect of the stories and hopefully this could be the differiator:
1) Facebook: the event pages would be similar; we hope to differiate by having the ability to link stories and also by allowing the users to contribute without being a facebook member.
2) numerous slide sharing platforms (Slideshare and many of its competitors) -- excellent presentation
The use of this product could also be extended to other uses, like as a project for the classrooms -- for example, as a digital yearbook for students, or as a research project for learning a particular topic.
