Just something to add in I read an article about binoculars.com and the owner of that site said he would create another community site for each niche site he created. He stated in his article that he found out some of his target market was bird watchers. He created a bird watching site and heavily promotes binoculars.com on this site. He said this has been very beneficial for him.
The product line is cell phone accessories. I would be taking orders via the internet without having product on supply. When the sale is final I would be using my customers money and purchasing the products from my supplier. I would not be letting my customers know my distribution methods but I would let my customers aware of my shipping policies.
I was reading a story on a couple websites that were very successful by using there capital on developing there website and ad and marketing campaigns rather than purchasing product. Just curious how many members think this practice of purchasing product after your customers have purchased from your website is an acceptable way of doing business.
Just curious if the nation could help me out. I want to launch a website without carrying inventory. I know this is not the best method of operating a business but without funding my options are limited. I want to know if any professionals have any advice on trying to get manufacturers to work with our company and understand exactly what our needs our as an etailer carrying virtually zero inventory. Any advice would be appreciated.
