That sounds like a great plan particularly if you have something that will make yours unique. The first step to any business is going to be your business plan which will be an outline of your entire business. In it you will have market research as well as basic business research. It is also what you will take to potential lenders and investors when you get started.
As for actually starting you will need to obtain a location, register your business, obtain the correct licenses and permits, research check cashing operations, etc.
How far along are you in the process? Is it just and idea or are you ready to make a move? I specialize in small business start up and expansion so if you need help or just someone to bounce ideas off of let me know.
My first question is: do you have the capital for this? That is a huge risk to take if you don`t really have the money to invest. It may be a good idea for you to do some more research into other wholesale lines. If you find the right place you may not need to provide anything to qualify. You may also what to look into other properties to lease. It is possible to find lower price spots that may look nice, you need to expand your options. How far along are you in this process? I have experience in retail and I specialize in small business start up and expansion so I have some ideas for how you may be able to go about this and other options that you may have. Email me if you are interested.
Great idea! A lot of barber shops are closing right now but if you kind find the right market and area for what you want to do this could be a great investment.
Honestly, need for a license all depends on where you live. Generally, no, to be the owner of a barber shop you do not need to be a licensed barber but you will obviously need a licensed barber on staff. There are other licenses and permits that go into running different businesses so that may be what patentandtrademark meant. So, the first question is going to be: where do you live?
How far along are you in your plans? Is it just an idea or are you starting to make plans? Again, start up costs are going to depend on your location. Real estate obviously varies from state to state. Chairs can costs upwards of $500. The supplies that you need are going to vary based on the range of services you are looking to provide, etc. If you can provide some more information I can better help you. If you want to leave details here regarding where you live, etc or if you want to email me I`d be happy to help!
Yes, it is difficult to start a business if you have no interests and no passions. However, to be fair not wanting to work for someone is a passion so based on that you have a bit of a start. If you care enough about not wanting to do that then you may well have enough drive to make whatever venture you go into a successful one. Look at it this way: you could start a job that you hate and have no interest in and be great at it(I know from prior experience). So, start researching, if you look deep enough at all of your opportunities you will also very likely find something that interests you...I said that I had no interests or passions once upon a time but ended up finding something I love to do. If you go to my site www.RanksIntl.com you will find a link to a site with business ideas and maybe that`ll be a good start.
