Interview with Cynthia Good of PINK-Part 2

Last week, we talked to Cynthia Good, CEO, founding editor and co-owner of the award-winning PINK Magazine, www.PINKmagazine.com. PINK reaches more than two million professional women every year and has raised more than $60,000 for nonprofits benefiting women and girls. Here’s more from my exclusive interview with the inspiring and successful business owner:

Cynthia Good

What are you doing now to keep readership levels up for PINK during these tough, economic times?

We are meeting readers and business partners where they are! The magazine industry is not dead but it certainly changed forever. Busy women, especially, want and need great editorial content that comes directly to them wherever they are so we have transformed our business model to bring them live content every day via the Little PINK Book, https://www.PINKmagazine.com/little_PINK_book/sign_up.html. It’s free. It’s a short, easy, fun read that links them to tons of useful resources so they are in-the-know when it comes to getting business information they need as well as cool clothes and shoes!

Little PINK Book

What advice do you have for small business owners who are struggling right now?

Keep the faith, cut costs, keep being innovative and focused on the bigger picture, and network with each other! Sign up for the Little PINK Book (https://www.PINKmagazine.com/little_PINK_book/sign_up.html)… It’s free and will give you lots of good ideas too!

Come to PINK’s fall events (and other networking events.) So many women who’ve attended closed huge deals as a result of connecting with this powerful network. And during this time, it’s important to nurture your personal side – to connect with family and friends and make sure you have your ‘me’ time.

Do you accept story ideas? If so, what kind of stories are you looking for and who should people contact at PINK to pitch their story?

We always accept story ideas! And we want to know about you and your company. Please blog at https://community.PINKmagazine.com/blogs/ !!! Other women in our community want to hear your story too!

Is there anything else you would like to share with StartupNation readers?
There’s no such think as “No.” Eliminate ‘can’t’ from your vocabulary. The most powerful tool you have is your passion and belief in what you’re doing!!

Thanks so much for sharing your tips and insights Cynthia!
