Hello. My Name is Peter Lewis.
Over the past 3 years I have been dedicated and passionate with this project. On May17, 2003, I lost my wife, Kim, to terminal illness. As a remembrance to my wife, I decided to create a piece of gold jewelry
I created a design , researched how to get the design manufactured , obtained copyrights and had the piece made into a 14k. gold pin .Once wearing the pin, I received requests by others who lost loved ones for pins, pendants , charms, and rings using the design. I engraved the name of the loved one in the back of each piece. This was done in gold , sterling silver and platinum. .
I created a website (www.remembrancecreations.com) to display my jewelry with an explanation behind the design. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by Stuller , North Americas largest jewelry manufacturer. They offered to manufacture, market and sell my jewelry to stores, wholesalers, distributors, and major jewelry companies, worldwide.. My dream of this jewelry being sold as a remembrance of my wife, and my love for her is now a reality.
I approached Wal-Mart and asked that if I created a line of women’s tees using my copyright and text, would they retail this product line for me .Wal-Mart said they would . I arranged with an approved Wal-Mart supplier to create and manufacture (silk screen) women’s tee in a variety of pastel colors, added text in both English and Spanish and began to retail my tee’s in select Wal-Mart locations.
I have stopped manufacturing the tees. I am hoping, however, based on new copyrights, to extend the clothing line to offer year round products which may or may not be with Wal-Mart.
I am presently in preliminary discussions with a teddy bear manufacturer to create a line of teddy bears dealing with grief, love , etc.
I have sent to various license companies in the USA the option to use my copyrights for other business opportunities .I have also created a line of Brochures, Thank You Cards, and stationary to be sold within the funeral home industry.
Now I need to revise my website and add new products, set up a web based store, network the site, and other administrative chores to cover my expanding business..
The funds I am requesting will be used to update the website , open a retail internet store , help manufacture new products both in precious metals jewelry, as well as ,costume jewelry.(copy rights have all ready been approved ). Thank you in advance for your time and consideration .
