Thanks for getting right back to me with the answer, Leslie.  Spring is my busy time working local garden center open houses, etc. so I haven`t been posting much.  But wow, I`m happy to see your biz on the fast track.  That`s great!  Omaha Steaks would seem to be a match made in
heaven.  Bet they think about it some more & come back to you.  What catalog did you get into?  I know it can seem scary to have lots of irons in the fire -- what if they all come through at once!  But somehow, it all would work out.  Keep goin` for it!

Hey there Cookie!! Long time no talk!!  The show takes care of flights and hotels.  I have spoken w/ Omaha Steaks and we couldn`t come to an agreement on price, but we both left the door open for future talks.  I`ve got other irons in the fire now.  Currently I`m in 12 stores in 5 states, 1 catalog and 2 online stores, but I`ve got some other stuff in the works.  It`s a really exiting and SCARY time.

Hey Leslie,
Is Big Idea flying you out or do you have to pay your own air fare each time?????

Have you been approached by Omaha Steaks or any comparable yet?  If not, bet you will.

The publicity you`re getting is GREAT!  Congrats, congrats.

Leslie, you were awesome on The Big Idea - how inspiring!  Your Grill Charms are great!

I had one question for you.  I was considering pursuing QVC myself.  Do they hold true to their claim of noifying you in 4-6 weeks from the day they recive your product submission?  I was going to do the online app. with an attached photo.  How long did it take for them to notify you?  I would greatly appreciate any input.

Congratulations again on your Grill Charms - I KNOW they will be successful!

Sorry to be so late with this, but ... Leslie, you rocked Donny!  He really seemed to love your product, and I thought you did a terrific job & you looked amazing.  I gotta say ... I had butterflies in my stomach the whole time I watched.  I can`t imagine what you were going through! Grill charms are the next big idea -- even Peoria thinks so!  (Forget about the guy in the suit ... he doesn`t even do the shopping, and his wife said she`d buy them ... so there.)

Way to go!

I think this applies, in an odd way: Back when scientists around the world were trying to develop nuclear power, most of them didn`t think it was possible. (It was sort of like the long articles discussing why it was impossible for human beings to travel in a vehicle going over 30mph, when trains were new.)

Many people were proving that nuclear fission wasn`t practically possible, until the US blew up Hiroshima. After that, it was pretty hard to make the argument that it wasn`t possible.

There`s no better way to develop conviction that to have solid, empiric evidence that something is working. Not that it`s "possible," but that it has, in fact, happened. With that kind of conviction and focus, there seems to be an injection of ideas, inspiration, energy, and positive outlook, all of which produce a whole new level of development.

It`s like playing the first week in a club, then having the weekend come along where everyone has a great time with the band. It "proves" that you`re getting over, that you have a real product, and that there`s a functional market.

In many cases, people don`t even realize they had doubts! :-) Then comes something like this, or the bomb, or a working train, or a successful week in a club, and Presto!....what was leaning toward doubt, now becomes "a fact."

To me, the really interesting question is how some people can "see" the successful ideas ahead of time, without having much in the way of this empiric proof. If we could bottle that, we`d be zillionaires! :-)
