Well, since I`ve had the opportunity to start this service for my community, I spend most of my time recycling. I started this whole venture in my daughter`s room on the family computer and have learned everything about recycling with my family. Although we can`t actually do the labor intensive work at home, I am home with them while I do all the office work. They come to the warehouse quite often to help. It took about 1.5 yrs to start it and it`s finally here, up and running. . ..just in time. . .for. . ..the recession! We`re still hanging on though! Like any new business, I started this with an idea and have taught myself how to do Quickbooks, organize routes, operate a forklift (and how to fix it from time to time), and how to drive a 20 ft. dump truck; after a couple new mirrors, I`ve mastered it! I hope someday to be able to add to this by saying how many people I`ve employed and that I`d be retaining an office job in my office with occasional visits to the warehouse.
