| Description: | In the last decade, I’ve started two companies in very different fields. One was a nonprofit working with teens. The other was a gourmet cooking class company. Both are still going strong. In fact, my cooking company, Hands On Gourmet, was recently named the fifth fastest growing company in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.
I realized that the key element I brought to both of these ventures was a skill at marketing communications fundamentals. By that I mean figuring out the basics -- What is the most effective message about a product or service? Who are the most important audiences? Where and how can we best reach them?
So I began my marketing consulting practice. That was always the fun part for me anyway.
I really enjoy working with clients to discover the effective points that will motivate their critical audiences. I bring 15 years of experience producing content that successfully engaged readers on a wide range of topics, from international philanthropy, to gourmet food, to health care. Grant proposals and fundraising letters I have written for clients have raised millions of dollars, and my work has won industry awards.
