|Headline:||Pastor Martin Macdonald|
|Description:||For nearly 16 years, Pastor Martin Macdonald has served the congregation of The City Church in Batavia, New York. He preaches weekly for the church, giving sermons on Sundays at its location on East Main Street. Pastor Martin Macdonald also works to reach people outside the church’s membership through prison, bus, and street ministries.|
In addition to traditional forms of preaching, Pastor Macdonald tries to reach those seeking guidance on the Internet. He posts regularly on his blog, covering topics ranging from national tragedies to his own journey in Christ. His most recent blog post, “5 Reasons to Make Church a Priority,” quoted Bible passages in support of attending church services and discussed the power of community. He has also used his blog to celebrate the life of another pastor, provide spiritual guidance in the wake of a tragic shooting in Colorado, and discuss the significance of Bible passages, such as Galatians 6:1-5.
Outside of his preaching with The City Church, Pastor Macdonald contributes to the greater community through the church's Adopt-A-Block New York outreach, which provides clothing, food, and prayer to people in need in and around Batavia. He also maintains memberships in Life Net Ministries International and the CJAC. For more information on him and his work, visit www.thecitychurch.com.
