Some of Mr. Tuma’s other major achievements with the Tanknology Corporation include constructing a new manufacturing/research and development facility in Houston, Texas; establishing operational centers in Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston; and launching oversees business units in Canada, Great Britain, and other countries. He also helped take the company public in 1991. Before leaving the company, Mr. Tuma served as Vice President of Operations, Research and Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing. In more recent years, John Tuma owned and operated JonTu Mobile Machine Works of Rockdale, Texas, through which he designed, constructed, and operated portable machines designed to repair oil and natural gas drilling components. Now, through KTR Management Company, he oversees infrastructure construction at subdivisions in Leon County, Texas; manages wastewater disposal wells; and builds and maintains drilling sites for businesses engaged in natural resource acquisition. John Tuma also owns and oversees the Krooked Tree Ranch, a 500-acre native and exotic animal hunting preserve. In addition, he supports Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch in North Texas. |
